Barr Memorial Library is hosting a summer virtual reading program for children and teens that will run from June 1 through July 20.

“Dig Deeper! at Barr Memorial Library” begins when participants register at https://barrmemorial.beanstack.org/reader365. They will then visit the website whenever they need to log their reading hours during the event.

Prizes will be offered after youth read at least 12 hours. Virtual badges can also be earned for reading and completing goals. All reading must be completed by the end of the event July 20.

All programs, along with performers, will be offered on Facebook. Performers include Dinky the Magician, Don Miller’s Dinosaur Show, Paul Oldenwelder’s Pirates Show and more. Online performances will be available for viewing for three days following each initial showing.

Programs include Virtual Storytimes Tuesdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and Thursdays at 6 p.m., as well as online craft programs and occasional impromptu “pop-up” programs on the Barr Facebook page.
