The Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security's Capt. Ethel Carter presented Stephen Stewart of the American Legion Hardin Post 113 with a plaque in recognition of the organization's commitment to support Fort Knox units' deployment and welcome home ceremonies with foodstuffs, drinks and other needed supplies.

"We've been to every 'hail and farewell we've ever been invited to," Stewart said. "We've got vets, some from Vietnam, who weren't welcomed home, and we always want to be there for Soldiers."
