A six-person crew from the Department of Defense's Joint Advertising, Market Research and Studies office recently visited Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield for a two-day scouting trip to meet Soldiers and tour locations for an upcoming film shoot here later this month.

The team spent time with several Soldiers and Families to determine who would be the best fit to appear in the recruiting films. The crew also visited the Marne Bistro dining facility, the USO, the veterinary clinic, the Post Exchange, commissary and several Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation facilities, including Holbrook Pond and the Corkan splash park.

The DoD team will return in greater numbers June 18-21 to film selected locations, Soldiers and Families.

The films will appear on the Today's Military website, www.TodaysMilitary.com. The website is produced by the DoD as a resource for young adults, parents and educators curious about military service. This site is not intended as a recruiting tool for any one branch of the U.S. military. Instead, it paints an accurate picture of what it's like to work, live and serve in the U.S. military.

The website features interviews with active-duty service members who provide genuine insight into the challenges and rewards of service.

If you are a Soldier in the rank of major or below, and are interested in supporting the Army as talent for the film, contact Fort Stewart-Hunter Army Airfield Public Affairs at 435-9872 or email, kevin.m.larson.civ@mail.mil.
