Vice President of the United States Mike Pence was met by Maj. Gen. Jody Daniels, Fort McCoy senior commander and 88th Readiness Division commanding general, and others when the vice president arrived for a visit May 16, 2019, at Fort McCoy, Wis.

During his stop at Fort McCoy, Pence learned about military equipment; met with hundreds of Fort McCoy workforce, military, and family members; and gave a speech at an Equipment Concentration Site-67 building.

Located in the heart of the upper Midwest, Fort McCoy is the only U.S. Army installation in Wisconsin.

The installation has provided support and facilities for the field and classroom training of more than 100,000 military personnel from all services each year since 1984.
