Ansbach, Germany (March 25, 2019) - The commanding general of U.S. Army in Europe, Lt. Gen. Christopher G. Cavoli, visited U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach today. After a DFAC luncheon with Soldiers, he toured the headquarters of 5-4 Air Defense Artillery Battalion on Shipton Kaserne to talk about their mission and their role in Exercise Austere Challenge.

Afterwards Cavoli presented coins to Pfc. Sikora and Master Sgt. Jon Waterhouse, 527th Military Police Company at the garrison headquarters. While on patrol, Sikora was instrumental in the rescue of a 56-year-old German man who had fallen from his wheelchair on an unpaved road near Urfersheim on March 17, 2019. The man had been on the ground for several hours when Sikora found him and alerted emergency services for assistance.
