Youth Birthday Bashes

Oct. 17, 3-4 p.m.

Vicenza Youth Center & Ederle Teen Center, Caserma Ederle and Villaggio

Each month, the Villaggio Youth Center and Ederle Teen Center celebrate birthdays with parties and cake. Party locations: Grades 6-8: Villaggio Youth Center, Bldg. 702; Grades 9-12: Ederle Teen Center, Bldg. 373. Don't miss out on the monthly birthday parties.

Sunday Night Football

Oct. 21 & 28, 7-10 p.m.

Warrior Zone, Caserma Del Din

Head to the Warrior Zone on Sunday nights and root for your favorite team. Kick back in the lounge area while enjoying hot food and cool drinks. Takes place every Sunday until the Super Bowl (Feb. 3, 2019).Watch your favorite teams go the distance on the big screens.

Lion's Den Trivia Night & Karaoke

Oct. 19, 6-10 p.m.

Lion's Den (upstairs in the Arena), Caserma Ederle

Head to the Lion's Den where the USO will be hosting a night of trivia and karaoke! Prizes awarded for best karaoke performances. Trivia runs 6-8 p.m., and karaoke runs 8-10 p.m. Don't miss out on a great night of food, fun and friends. Hosted by USO Vicenza.

Music Café

Soldiers' Theatre, Caserma Ederle

Music Café nights are casual improv jam nights for music lovers by music lovers. Great music and amazing community talent await. Entry is free and refreshments will be available for purchase.

Paintball

Get the adrenaline pumping and eliminate your opponents with this fast-paced and extreme sport. Join Outdoor Recreation as they visit a favorite local field to play Speedball, a variation of paintball where the playing field is composed of a maze of bunkers mirrored on both sides. Use your own gear or borrow from Outdoor Recreation.

Lake Bled, Slovenia

ODR, Caserma Ederle

Lake Bled has been the focus of many travel writers and for good reason. Lake Bled is considered one of the most beautiful destinations in all of Europe. One of the greatest Slovene poets, France Preseren called Lake Bled the "second garden of Eden". With it's Medieval castle perched high on one side of the lake and a church towering above the trees on an island in the middle, this destination is a sight to see. Don't forget your tourist passport.

Darby Laser Kick Back Night

Oct. 26, $5 registration fee

Camp Darby

Head into the Youth Center immediately after school to enjoy some delicious pizza followed by two hours of laser tag. Participants will enjoy pizza at the Youth Center and open time to relax and chill with friends for the rest of the night.

Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle, Slovenia

Oct. 27, 6 a.m.-10 p.m., $105/$63

ODR, Caserma Ederle

The Postojna cave system covers more than 21 kilometers and features amazing formations made from constantly dripping water. While some tunnels are flooded and unable to be entered without special equipment, we will be touring some other great caves in the system and taking in the beautiful sights. It's cold in these underground caves, so bring a warm jacket. For a turn aboveground, the group will visit Predjama Castle, an impregnable fortress built out of the mountain itself. This centuries old castle is full of history and the perfect way to finish off a day in Slovenia. Don't forget tourist passport.

Darby Trip: Rome Express

Enjoy this day trip to the beautiful and historical city of Rome. Participants will enjoy ample free time to walk the streets, view the sights, and take in the attractions.

Ski Tuning Workshop

Oct. 27, 5:30-8 p.m., $35

ODR, Caserma Ederle

Skiing and snowboarding can be an expensive hobby. In addition to the cost of lift tickets is the cost of purchasing and maintaining/repairing your ski and snowboard equipment. With the Ski Tuning Workshop, instructors will teach participants how to maintain equipment to save money on repairs. Topics covered will be base repairs, edging and hand waxing. Bring your own equipment to tune or borrow equipment from Outdoor Recreation.

Gardaland Halloween

Oct. 28, 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m.

ODR, Caserma Ederle

With Halloween right around the corner, join Outdoor Recreation for a day at Gardaland. The park dons a spooky look and fills with ghosts, ghouls, witches and monsters that will give visitors a fright. Don a costume and have some fun. By traveling with ODR, participants will avoid long drives, slow traffic, paid parking, less gas and pesky tolls. On this trip, travel to Gardaland by bus. Entry into the park will be covered so visitors will be free to enjoy the day.

Warrior Zone Halloween Party

Oct. 31, 7 p.m.

Warrior Zone, Caserma Del Din

The Warrior Zone invites one and all (including local nationals) for a Halloween party with some country western twisted in. Ages 18 and older will be able to enjoy a night of fun. Enjoy country music, dancing, a costume party and competition. The winner of the competition will receive a 50 percent discount on any sandwich purchase.

Domestic Violence Awareness 5K

Track & Field, Caserma Ederle

Join the ACS Family Advocacy Program team for a 5K fun run to promote awareness of Domestic Violence Month. Throw on as much purple as you can find and head on over. Free t-shirts while supplies last. No pre-registration required, and pets and strollers are welcome.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Flag Football Tournament

Head to the Ederle Track and Field as the Ederle Fitness Center and Esther's Grace Chapter #170 tackle breast cancer. Open to the first six teams to sign up; sign up by Oct. 18. Signup sheets can be found at the front counter of the Ederle or Del Din fitness centers. Must sign up as a team.

$5 per class/$35 for 10 classes

The Ederle and Del Din fitness centers have plenty of great classes to help everyone get in shape. Open to all skill levels. Classes include Zumba, cycling, taekwondo, yoga, power pump and many more. Self-defense classes are $12 per class/$70 for monthly pass.
