Fort Meade, Md. - The Asymmetric Warfare Group held its Warrior Week May 4 to 8.

The purpose was to establish and celebrate traditions associated with warrior traits unique to AWG, and build teamwork, esprit de corps and camaraderie.

During the week, unit members participated in group, squadron, and section updates, and completed various annual training requirements.

They also spent a day competing in events such as an Endurathon (four-member teams competing in a rifle and pistol shoot, bench press competition, HMMWV pull/push, relay race, 16 lb. medicine-ball throw, and two-mile run); Row Boat Race; Foot Race; Volleyball; Frisbee Football; Dodge Ball; Tug-of-War; Horseshoes; and a Spades and Dominoes Tournament.

During the Warrior Week, the AWG's Warrior of the Year was announced and it concluded with a formal Ball held at Club Meade.
