Friends, Families, and co-workers gathered for esprit de corps at the annual Joint Force Headquarters-National Capital Region/U.S. Army Military District of Washington Organizational Day picnic on Fort Lesley J. McNair, D.C., Friday.

There was a full day of competitive games, children's activities, music, and a catered picnic lunch hosted by Maj. Gen. Michael L. Howard, JFHQ-NCR/MDW commanding general.

"I thought Org Day was amazing, everyone had fun and came to play," said Spc. Darrell Lipscomb, Religious Affairs specialist, JFHQ-NCR/MDW Command Chaplains Office. "My favorite part about Org Day was playing volleyball, being able to work with the command group, and having the Air Force there to play with us was extremely fun."

The competitive events consisted of basketball, horseshoes, and volleyball. There were also static displays from the U.S. Army Aviation Brigade, the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Fire Department, and the JFHQ-NCR/MDW J-3, who showed off the MDW Mobile Command Platform.
