FORT BENNING, Ga. -- Snipers from across the Department of Defense, U.S. civilian agencies, and foreign military service members take aim at primetime July 25.

The History Channel is set to air Sniper: The Ultimate Competition July 25 at 8 p.m.

The two-hour reality special features the International Sniper Competition, wherein Soldiers, Marines, Airmen, Coast Guardsmen, U.S. city and state police officers, members of the Department of Homeland Security, and military service members from Canada, Denmark, Germany and Norway competed to determine the best sniper team in the world.

The competition tested the two-person teams' physical fitness, ability to acquire targets, long-range and short-range shooting skills, ability to disappear from the enemy, and attention to detail. An aerial event assessed the snipers' ability to fire from a UH-60 Black Hawk.
