The competitors of the 2018 Eighth Army Best Warrior Competition started the first day with a splash completing a water survivability event which included treading water, swimming with a weapon, and creating an emergency floatation device.
The Eighth Army BWC recognizes and selects the most-qualified junior enlisted and noncommissioned officer to represent Eighth Army at the USARPAC Best Warrior Competition in June. The Eighth Army BWC will also recognize the top performing officer, warrant officer and Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army (KATUSA) at the Eighth Army level.
