The Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 1st Engineer Brigade, and Combat Training Company finished at the top of the Conference A and Conference B intramural basketball standings, respectively, as teams finished out the final week of the regular season Feb. 27 and 28 at Davidson Fitness Center.

Conference A scores

The HHC, 1st Engr. Bde. team won its final game of the regular season over the 58th Transportation Battalion, 39-29, Feb. 27.

In other games played that night:

-- The 554th Engineer Battalion defeated the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 3rd Chemical Brigade, 59-37;

-- The Medical Department Activity beat the 2nd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, 38-37;

-- The 14th Military Police Brigade defeated the U.S. Marine Corps Battalion, 42-34.

Three teams finished the season with records of 5-2, including the HHC, 1st Engr. Bde. in first place, the 554th Engr. Bn. in second place and MEDDAC in third. Following in the standings were the HHC, 3rd Chem. Bde. in fourth place with a record of 4-3; the 14th MP Bde. in fifth, also at 4-3; the Marine Det. in sixth at 3-4; the 2-10th Inf. Bn. in seventh at 1-6, and the 58th Trans. Bn. in eighth, also at 1-6.

Conference B scores

In Conference B games played Feb. 28:

-- Staff Judge Advocate defeated the 1st Battalion, 48th Infantry regiment, 49-37;

-- The 2nd Battalion, 48th Infantry Regiment, and the 50th Engineer Company both picked up forfeit wins.

CTC, which concluded its season the previous week, finished first in the standings with a record of 5-1, followed by the 50th Engr. Co., also at 5-1, in second place. The 1-48th Inf. Bn. and SJA, both with a record of 3-2, finished third and fourth in the standings, respectively. The 2-48th Inf. Bn., at 2-4, took fifth, followed by the U.S. Air Force, 364th Training Squadron, Detachment 1, in sixth with a record of 1-5, and Forward Support Company, at 0-6, in seventh place.

Commander's Cup

With the completion of the regular season, teams switched their focus to the 2018 Commander's Cup Basketball Tournament, which began Tuesday. The tournament's semi-finals are scheduled for 6 and 7 p.m. tonight at DFC, with the tournament's third-place game set for 6 p.m. Tuesday and the tournament championship slated for 7 p.m. Tuesday at DFC.

Rec League scores

Fort Leonard Wood's Recreation League continued its season with games played Feb. 26 at DFC. In those games:

-- The 554th Engr. Bn. beat the 3rd Chem. Bde., 54-17;

-- The Rookies defeated Los Masacotes, 50-25;

-- Forward Support Company picked up a forfeit win.

The Rec League season has four weeks remaining.
