JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-FORT SAM HOUSTON, Texas -- (April 28, 2017) The Army's top 10 recruiters from across Texas were recognized by the Army North commanding general at a Fiesta San Antonio event April 25 in front of hundreds at the Alamo in San Antonio.Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Buchanan, the Army North commanding general, acknowledged the Army's best recruiters during the Army Day at the Alamo, and thanked the recruiters for bringing the best qualified men and women into the Army to keep the service and nation strong.The San Antonio Army Recruiting Battalion best recruiters are: Staff Sgt. Billy McDonald, Staff Sgt. Jordano Hernandez, Sgt. 1st Class Marcus Henry, Staff Sgt. Ricardo Saldana, Sgt. 1st Class Ben Nimnualrata, Staff Sgt. Jefferson Vargas, Staff Sgt. Raul Nunez, Staff Sgt. Glenn Wendland, Sgt. 1st Class Edgar Olivasmonarrez, and Staff Sgt. Alvarado Moloy. The top center leader recruiter is Sgt. 1st Class Armando Legaspe.The top recruiters gathered in San Antonio for the first Tiger Society summit April 24 through 26 to discuss Army recruiting goals and objectives. These recruiters were responsible for enlisting more than 1,000 recruits, collectively, for fiscal year 2016. The Tiger Society was established and founded by Lt. Col. Kevin Bouren, the San Antonio Recruiting Battalion commander, and Command Sgt. Maj. Juan Dozier, the San Antonio Recruiting Battalion command sergeant major."These NCOs have made a significant contribution by providing outstanding overall performance, tremendous dedication to well-rounded prominence, and most of all, for their excellence in walking in a manner worthy of their calling as 'Tiger Professionals,'" Bouren said.The San Antonio Recruiting Battalion recruits qualified men and women from south and central Texas and southern New Mexico in order to provide the strength needed to uphold and defend freedom and democracy.
