CCAD and Del Mar College are partnering to develop Art of the Possible training!
Del Mar representatives visited CCAD for a first-hand look at UH-60 Recap and T-55 Engine production lines, March 3.
Then, over the next 60 days, CCAD program managers and representatives from the school's Center for Economic Development will develop a "train the trainer" curriculum for approximately 30 union representatives, work leaders and first-line supervisors. The goal of the course is to develop the depot's first AoP subject matter experts. The new SMEs will then transfer their knowledge to the rest of the workforce.
The Center for Economic Development hosts a comprehensive range of workforce development programs to meet the diverse training needs of the business community, according to their website.
To ensure that CCAD is poised to support future Warfighter needs, the helicopter maintenance facility is on a journey toward excellence with Art of the Possible -- a new structured approach to managing production. By implementing AoP, CCAD is increasing Army Aviation readiness through increased efficiency, materiel forecasting and workload predictability.
The Corpus Christi Army Depot provides regular updates on AoP, which launched in October, 2016.
