USARPAC commander delivers keynote address at Asia Forecast 2017 forum

FORT SHAFTER, Hawaii - Gen. Robert B. Brown, commander, U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC), delivered the keynote address and took questions while at the Asia Forecast 2017 forum being held at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC, January 25, 2017. Brown discussed the U.S. Army's role in the Indo-Asia Pacific Theater which include supporting the Pacific Command in its defense of the United States, its people, and its interests. He explained that USARPAC contributes to the security and cooperation of partners in the region through deterrence, resilient partnerships, and an integrated Joint Force capable of sustained operations. Brown said this is accomplished by providing trained and ready land forces that are equipped to deter and defeat potential adversaries and help set the theater for the Joint Force commander.
