ANNISTON ARMY DEPOT -- In accordance with Anniston Army Depot's Operational Security Plan and TACOM Life Cycle Management Command policy, portable electronic devices, such as cell phones, are allowed on the installation with the following restrictions:
1. Video, photography, media storage, audio recording or usage as a wireless modem is prohibited while on the installation.
2. Personally owned portable electronic devices are prohibited for use in official communications and will not be attached to Army Information System (computers, notebooks, laptops, servers or desktops) for any type of data transfer.
3. Portable electronic devices are prohibited for use while operating a vehicle unless a hands-free device, such as a speaker or Bluetooth, is used. Exceptions to this include emergency responders.
4. Classified information will not be discussed or transmitted using unclassified PEDs or any other unclassified commercial or desktop phone.
5. Personnel are prohibited from possessing or using two-way transmission PEDs (government or personal) in an area where classified information is discussed or electronically processed.
Violations may result in confiscation of the device and disciplinary action, including dismissal, and legal action against the offending employee, contractor or visitor.
