MIHAIL KOGALNICEANU, Romania - Romanian Military Police joined Soldiers from Task Force Warhammer for training on basic tasks and drills Sept. 22.

The Task Force used a twelve-week to conduct joint training with the Romanian Soldiers on U.S. techniques to camouflage personnel and individual equipment, move as a member of a team, react to indirect fire, evaluate a casualty, and perform voice communications, to name a few.

"We started off by coaching them on how to camouflage yourself and your individual equipment," said Sgt Katlyn Rice, operations Sergeant assigned to Task Force Warhammer. "We haven't set up camo netting in a while. It was fun for training."

Romanian Soldiers are scheduled to train on how to search an individual in a tactical environment, react to possible improvised explosive device, and control of installation access.

After eleven weeks of training, Task Force Soldiers alongside their Romanian allies will execute a culminating event incorporating all training learned over the past twelve weeks.

"The Romanian Soldiers were very excited to learn how to put our Harris Radios into Operation," said Pfc. Efrain Nieves, a communications specialist assigned to Task Force Warhammer. "Within 10 minutes of receiving the training they were able to put our radios into operation without supervision."

Just like any training event, there is always room for improvement. Task Force Warhammer hope to continue this partnership and develop better Soldiers and relationships with their Romanian partners.
