SEOUL, KOREA--The 8th U.S. Army Commanding General, Lt. Gen. Thomas Vandal and the Deputy Chief of Staff for the United Nations Command, U.S. Forces Command Korea, Maj. Gen. James Slife received their annual influenza vaccination Oct. 11, on U.S. Army Garrison-Yongsan from members of the 65th Medical Brigade force health protection team. The event kicked off the annual influenza vaccination campaign which will take place throughout the Korean peninsula over the next few weeks. This year all active duty personnel, KATUSA personnel, civilian healthcare providers, general beneficiaries, retirees and all Department of Defense Education Activity school age children will be vaccinated.
