WIESBADEN, Germany -- Leaders from across the U.S. Army are in Washington, D.C., Oct. 3-5, for the annual AUSA conference, one of the largest land power exposition and professional development forums in the United States.

Commanders, senior enlisted advisors and other leaders from U.S. Army Europe will help tell the Strong Europe story at panels, meetings and forums.

As in previous years, many of the forums, panels and other educational and professional development discussions will be available online for people unable to attend the symposium in person.

More than 26,000 attendees from around the world are expected to attend this year's conference. Of the 10 international pavilions, seven are from Europe: France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Poland, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Looking to tune in when U.S. Army Europe is presenting?

The opening ceremony, scheduled for Monday, Oct. 3, 9:30 a.m. EST (or 3:30 p.m. CET).

Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges, commander, U.S. Army Europe, will be joined by German Lt. Gen. Joerg Vollmer, chief of staff, German Army; Finnish Lt. Gen. Seppo Tiovonen, commander, Finland's Army; and Ambassador Daniel Baer, U.S. representative to the Organization for the Security and Cooperation in Europe; for "An Ocean Closer: Synchronizing Actions and Words from the Baltic to the Black Sea," a contemporary military forum, on Monday, Oct. 3, 2 p.m. EST (or 8 p.m. CET).

Immediately following the panel, there will be a press conference at 4:15 p.m. EST (or 10:15 p.m. CET) open to all media.

On Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. EST (or 9 p.m. CET), there will be a U.S. Army Reserve panel, which Hodges will be a member of.

On Wednesday, Oct. 5, at 10:05 a.m. EST (or 4:05 p.m. CET), Hodges, Vollmer and Tiovonen will present "An Ocean Closer to a Complex World" as a Warrior's Corner.
