U.S. Army's European training command to change commanders, July 15

GRAFENWÖHR, Germany -- The 7th Army Joint Multinational Training Command will hold a change of command ceremony, July 15, 2016, at 1 p.m. on the Grafenwoehr parade field.

Brig. Gen. Christopher G. Cavoli will hand over leadership of the Army's largest overseas training command to Brig. Gen. Antonio A. Aguto.

On May 26, 2016, Cavoli was confirmed by the U.S. Senate for promotion to the rank of major general. He will assume duties as Division Commander, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, Aug. 4, 2016.

Aguto most recently served as the Deputy Commanding General of Operations for the 7th Infantry Division at Joint Base Lewis McChord, Washington, from 2015 to 2016.

Also on July 15, 2016, the 7th Army JMTC will be renamed to 7th Army Training Command. The 7th Army Training Command, or 7th ATC, is the historical name of the command and is commonly recognized by generations of Soldiers who have trained here.

Media interested in attending the ceremony must register with the Public Affairs Office no later than July 12.
