2nd Lt. Ange, Sgt. Jackson, Spc. Mackenzie, 1st Lt. Carey, 2nd Lt. Del Pino, Staff Sgt. Thatcher, Sgt. Hill, Sgt. Rivera, Spc. Binge, and Spc. Chambers were selected as the 10th Army Air and Missile Defense Command's Soldiers of the Week for 16 to 20 May 2016.

Over the past week, these Soldiers competed in and completed the 10th AAMDC's Best Warrior Competition. They demonstrated their technical, tactical, and mental prowess by completing over 17 different events designed to test their proficiency at conducting various warrior skills. These events included an Army Physical Fitness Test, a 2.5-mile obstacle course, qualification on 4 different weapons platforms, an Army Combatives tournament, multiple squad sized simulated training exercises, a 12-mile ruck march in full kit, and day and night land navigation.

These tasks and more were conducted over a grueling 4-day period, where the competitors were only given 3 hours to sleep each night. On the last day of the competition, as each of these individuals stood on the verge of total exhaustion, they participated in a board to test their knowledge, professionalism, and mental stamina.

When the competition started there were 15 competitors, by the end only 10 remained. All ten of these Soldiers are to be commended for their determination, dedication, and drive. Congratulations to these individuals for being the 10th AAMDC's Soldiers of the Week.
