REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala -- Redstone employees will have the chance to learn leadership skills, develop values and strengthen ethics from world famous leaders.

The Army Materiel Command human resources office is hosting the Honor2Lead series which will simulcast military and business leaders May 20 from 8 a.m. to noon at Bob Jones Auditorium. The speakers will share their expertise and experience with leadership and military values in the workplace. All employees on Redstone are welcome to attend and can earn continuous learning points for the event.

A few of the featured speaker include Dr. John Maxwell, leadership expert; Lt. Gen. James Terry, commander, Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve; and Maj. Gen. Stacey Harris, commander, 22nd Air Force.

"These people really are the leadership experts," Katrina Mohr, strategic planner, said. "We want to promote this event not only as a great opportunity for our current leaders but our future leaders as well. We want everyone to know the importance of being a leader not just at work but in your personal life as well."

During the four-hour event, employees are able to come and go as their schedule allows and will be able to watch any speaker they miss through a recorded simulcast following the event.

"It's all about leadership and military values and how they relate to business and real life," Mohr said. "The speakers are really phenomenal and I know employees will get a lot out of hearing what they have to say."

The AMC human resources office plans to simulcast future Honor2Lead events in September.
