By Sgt. Kyle A Burns (2nd CR)March 21, 2016

GRAFENWOEHR TRAINING AREA, Germany --Soldiers of Field Artillery Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, U.S. Army and the 131st Artillery Battalion, German Army came together in an artillery training exercise March 17, 2016 on Grafenwoehr Training Area.

The training was a chance to develop greater interoperability between the two nations. By integrating each other at every step of artillery, this exercise showcased how the two armies working together can successfully achieve their mission.

"It is extremely interesting how much one can learn by working together," said Cpl. Andreas Weinhold, a 131st Artillery Battalion Soldier. "Both about tactics and equipment."

This ability to work together will be essential in the coming year, as the 2nd Cavalry Regiment continues to prepare for several training exercises that will involve multiple NATO allies. These exercises will enhance multinational interoperability, strengthen relationships between allied militaries, all while demonstrating the U.S. commitment to NATO and ensuring a strong Europe.

But for now, the Dragoons of 2nd Cavalry Regiment continue to train with their NATO allies to ensure they live up the legacy of "Always Ready."
