AMC senior leader encourages mentoring program

REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. (Jan. 7, 2016) -- The U.S. Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center's Mentoring Program welcomed a Redstone, senior leader at a speaking engagement held Jan. 6.

AMRDEC mentees took notes as Lt. Gen. Larry D. Wyche, the deputy commanding general of the U.S. Army Material Command, explained his ideas on success, passion, and finding your purpose. Audience members engaged with the general, participating in a question and answer segment during his presentation.

"Leaders are not built in a day. They are built daily," said Wyche.

Following his presentation, Wyche toured the Software Engineering Directorate and discussed topics such as obsolescence with subject matter experts to better understand the future needs of the Army. He was accompanied by AMC's aide to the deputy commanding general, Maj. Anthony L. Wilson.
