Colonel G. Shawn Wells, Jr., commander, U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz hosted a Veterans Day wreath laying ceremony at the flagpole in front of the U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz site headquarters on Smith Barracks, Baumholder Military Community, Nov 11.

Soldiers, civilians and family members attended the ceremony honoring past and present American Soldiers.

Also at the ceremony was Baumholder District Mayor Peter Lang, Baumholder City Mayor Guenther Jung, German Lt. Col. Klaus Himstedt, deputy commander of the military training center in Idar-Oberstein, German Capt. Falk Felkel and German Capt. Helge Schwab, from the German Military Training Area Command.
