Pfc. Christian Von Schlegel, a military police officer with the 18th Military Police Brigade and native of Allentown, Pa., is this week's 21st Theater Sustainment Command Warrior of the Week.
Questions and Answers with Warrior
<b>Q: How long have you been doing your job? </b>
A: I've been working as a military police officer for eight months.
<b>Q: What are your goals? </b>
A: My short-term goals are to waiver to specialist and to compete and win the U.S. Army Europe Best Warrior Competition. My long-term goals are to finish my bachelor's degree and become an officer.
<b>Q: What are your hobbies? </b>
A: My hobbies are playing the guitar, traveling and photography.
<b>Q: What do you like most about the Army?</b>
A: The things that I like most about the Army are the opportunities service affords me and the people that I get to work with.
<b>Q: What would you change about the military service life?</b>
A: I would make it easier for soldiers to voice their opinion when it counts without having to fear being penalized for speaking up.
<b>Q: What do you like most about being stationed in Germany?</b>
A: The best part of being stationed in Germany is that its central location gives me the ability to travel all over.
<b>Q: What is your favorite movie genre?</b>
A: My favorite movie genre is comedy.
<b>Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you?</b>
A: I would bring a picture of my family, my guitar and the knife my father gave me.
<b>Q: Name someone who has influenced or inspired you during your military career (could be a leader, mentor, peer or subordinate) and explain why.</b>
A: Staff Sgt. Stipp is someone who has influenced and inspired me throughout my military career. He has mentored me through all of my training and upbringing as a soldier and has kept me in "check." He inspires me to strive to be at a higher level.
<b>Q: If you could meet one individual, alive or dead, who would it be and why?</b>
A: I wish I could have met my grandfather when he was young and in the military and ask him about life and his own future goals.
