The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory is the Army's corporate research laboratory.
The DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory is one of eight science and technology domains within the command, which discovers, innovates and transitions science and technology to ensure dominant strategic land power.
The laboratory's mission is to provide innovative science, technology and analysis to enable full-spectrum operations. The Army relies on the team for scientific discoveries, technological advances and analyses to provide Soldiers with capabilities to succeed on the battlefield.
Its diverse assortment of unique facilities and dedicated workforce of government and private sector partners make up the largest source of world-class integrated research and analysis in the Army.
By combining its in-house technical expertise with those from academic and industry partners, the DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory is able to maximize each dollar invested to provide the best technologies for our Soldiers.
The laboratory's program consists of basic and applied research and survivability/lethality and human factors analysis. It also applies the extensive research and analysis tools developed in its direct mission program to support ongoing development and acquisition programs in DEVCOM, Program Executive Offices/Program Manager Offices, and industry.
The DEVCOM Army Research Laboratory has consistently provided the enabling technologies in many of the Army's most important weapons systems.
