Chaplain (Brigadier General) Carlton Fisher, Jr. became Assistant Chief of Chaplains for Mobilization and Readiness on October 1, 2014. He is an ordained a minister in the Southern Baptist Convention. He began his military career as an Army Reserve Chaplain through a direct commission in 1988. Prior to his appointment as the Assistant Chief of Chaplains, Chaplain Fisher served in a number of leadership positions in the Army Reserves along with active duty tours in Iraq with the 926th Engineer Brigade during Operation Iraqi Freedom and with the Joint Special Operation Command during Operation Enduring Freedom.
