ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md (Sept. 16, 2015) - Jeannette Watson from CECOM's Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) is one of a select few to be recognized as a 2015 recipient of Army Materiel Command's Louis Dellamonica Award for Outstanding Personnel of the Year.
The annual award recognizes outstanding achievements that significantly contribute to AMC's mission and objectives. Each year AMC selects employees, military and civilian, below the rank of general officer and senior executive service, who meet the established guidelines and embody the attributes of integrity, leadership, teamwork, innovation, and professionalism, exemplified by Dellamonica during his 65-year career as an AMC general engineer.
Kathleen Batdorf, Director, Logistics and Engineering Operations Directorate for the LRC, nominated Watson because she instilled an environment filled with trust, teamwork, and pride where employees are committed to working together towards a common goal with sound and competent leadership at the helm.
"Jeannette Watson epitomizes the term 'Trusted Professional.' The breadth and depth of her technical knowledge combined with her level of professionalism and leadership style have had a direct impact on successful implementation of several key business process improvements. And at the very center of all, she really cares about the Warfighter and the people supporting them behind the scenes."
Watson currently serves as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist in a directorate comprised of 380 employees in 5 divisions. She led the efforts of a large professional, technical and administrative workforce engaged in planning, coordinating and executing a variety of programs to include materiel management, logistics management, industrial base management, depot maintenance, maintenance management, value engineering, and quality. She also serves as Command advocate for National Maintenance Program, Industrial Base, Quality and Standardization.
