FORT BENNING, Ga., (June 10, 2015) -- This week, we celebrate the 240th anniversary of the founding of our nation's Army. In nearly two and half centuries, our Army has continually evolved to meet the demands of many different conflicts across different eras - from the Continental Army of the Revolution, to two World Wars, to Vietnam and the battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, we have always worked to retain the advantage over our nation's adversaries. But through all those changes, what has remained constant is our commitment to protect the freedom and ideals upon which America was founded, and our dedication to upholding the Army Values and the Warrior Ethos.

Today, our all-volunteer force is the most professional, best prepared Army the world has ever seen, and the Maneuver Center of Excellence is a critical part of that. The quality of the training our Soldiers receive here is unparalleled and the dedication of the men and women who provide that training is truly inspiring.

I am proud to serve alongside you and honored to serve as your commanding general. Thank you for everything you do each and every day.

One Force, One Fight!
