Finding himself suddenly single while on deployment in Iraq, Staff Sergeant Robert Chase returned home to find challenges virtually equal to the ones he found in battle - those of raising his six-year-old son and three-year-old daughter alone. Taking full advantage of Army resources for parenting and child care through the New Parent Support Program, Robert now wakes each day to press for victory on two fronts - at home, where he readies his children for their days in school and childcare, and on the job, honing the strength of America's premier fighting force. A rampart of parental love and security, this Soldier is strong enough, he jokes, to learn to paint toenails with his little girl.
The Nation's strength starts here.
