Heidi Shyu, the Army's top acquisition officer, is recognized with the Knight of the Honorable Order of St. Michael at the Army Aviation Association of America Summit in Nashville on March 30. Shyu was recognized for her enduring support of Army aviation, championing aviation modernization programs while protecting science and technology efforts. The award honored her for contributing significantly to the promotion of Army aviation in ways that stand out in the eyes of the recipient's seniors, subordinates and peers. The award also noted that recipients have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and moral character, display an outstanding degree of professional competence, and serve the Army aviation community with distinction.
