ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL, Ill. -- Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army from six regions in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin visited Rock Island Arsenal, Ill., Nov. 21.

CASAs, formally recognized in 1922, advise the secretary of the army about regional issues and promote good relations between the Army and the public.

Each state, the District of Columbia, and the five U.S. territories have one or more CASAs appointed to provide a link between the Army and the communities they serve.
