TEAD was one of the sites visited in Utah during the 2014 Northwest Regional Civilian Aides to the Secretary of the Army Regional Conference.

On Aug. 24, 10 CASAs toured the Depot and met with TEAD leaders.

While on a chartered bus from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Tooele, Col. Roger McCreery, depot commander, presented the Depot's Command Perspective Briefing.

When the group arrived they went directly to the alternative energy site where they were given an overview briefing and a tour of the two projects currently installed; a wind turbine and 429 Stirling Solar Array Powerdishes.

CASAs were also given the opportunity to tour the conventional ammunition area outloading site, showing the capabilities of shipping and receiving, either by rail or commercial carrier. Other missions visited were: 20mm Super Pull Apart Machine (SPAM), U.S. Navy Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM), and Ammunition Peculiar Equipment manufacturing and assembly facilities.

"I can't overstate the appreciation of the gathered CASAs and those of the CASA office for what the TEAD Team did for the group. It was above and beyond," said John Edwards, Utah CASA.
