Air Force: F-15 Fighter Jet caused Sonic Boom

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Georgia -- Air Force confirmed today that an F-15 fighter jet flew over the Columbus area Tuesday and created the sonic boom which was widely reported. The aircraft was enroute to Robins Air Force Base for scheduled maintenance. Details of the event remain under investigation.
