There will be a costume contest, live DJ and you will get to meet the Doughboy Football Team and, most importantly, Santa.
To register go to active.com or estartline.com or email ftbenningelfrun@gmail.com for a registration form.
If you register before Sept. 12, the cost is $25 per person, $20 per participant for a Family or group of three or more; after Sept. 13, add $5. Only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a T-shirt. Late and race day registrants will receive T-shirts, while supplies last.
All children will receive a ribbon. Prizes will be awarded for individual best costumes and group spirit. There will be multiple door prizes. Each registrant will receive a ticket for a door prize. Bring a toy or monetary donation and receive an additional door prize ticket.
Colored powder (corn starch) will be thrown at the event. The color is safe and can be washed out, but there is a possibility of stains. We do not recommend you wear anything you are afraid of getting stained.
Whether you run or walk, everyone will be showered with color throughout the run at various stations. The event is not timed and individuals of all ages are welcome to participate.
Pets are not allowed on Stewart-Watson Field.
Santa's Castle is a 100 percent volunteer run, non-profit 501(c)(3), that strives to provide toys for children of Fort Benning Soldiers who are facing financial hardship at Christmas. Each child receives brand new and age-appropriate toys and each Family receives a board game.
In 2013, Santa's Castle provided toys to more than 750 Fort Benning children.
