Name: Robert "Greg" Bradford, information technology specialist, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

Age: 43

Hometown: Madison, Ala.

Years of federal service: Two months (spent 15 years as a contractor, seven of those with the command)

Education: Bachelor of Science in computer science

Marital status: Married

Children: Five

Activities/hobbies: Spending time with the kids at the park, taking the kids for a walk or bike ride on the greenways, household projects, and online gaming (when the kids finally go to sleep but my wife and I haven't)

Favorite movie: I have several favorites, not just one

Favorite TV show: Firefly and Game of Thrones

Favorite band: I have very eclectic taste in music. Not sure I have a favorite these days.

Favorite thing about working for the Army: There are always new challenges to work through. The Information Assurance rules and Security Technical Implementation Guide change, the technologies changes, even the hardware changes, but the security still has to be tight

What made you want to work for the Army: My mother retired after a very long career supporting the Hawk missile system and my father was in the Navy. I spent many years growing up in the Hawk major items building on Hicks Road. I was comfortable around military personnel and it just seemed a natural fit.
