TONY STEWART DID WHAT?

Tony Stewart hit and ran over driver Kevin Ward Jr., at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in New York Aug. 9, which resulted in Ward's death.

After his No. 13 car was bumped by Stewart's No. 14 car on the track, it spun out of control.

The video spread like wildfire across the internet showed Ward get out of his car and walk in the middle of the track where the cars were driving to confront Stewart.

I repeat, Ward got out of his car and walked in the middle of the track where cars are racing full speed to confront Stewart while he is going full throttle.

Why? Why do this? How many miles per hour were they going? Not neighborhood speed, I'll tell you that.

Man versus automobile is never a good idea.

It can be seen that Stewart tried to swerve out of the way because he was seen fishtailing. Then, with his back right tire, he clipped Ward.

The last thing that was probably on his mind was seeing a person challenge his vehicle in the middle of the track during a race.

Stewart made a statement showing his remorse.

And, from my understanding, Stewart isn't viewed as an arrogant, vindictive individual.

I understand that we all can be competitive and we should use that drive in the smartest way possible.

If possible, learn from your mistakes and think before you react.

A loss is never easy. My condolences to the family.

NO KNEES MCGEE, I MEAN MACHADO

Baltimore Orioles third baseman, No. 13, Manny Machado sprained his right knee while at bat against the Yankees Aug. 11.

Machado has managed to hurt his other knee only after a few months of recovering from surgery on his left knee.

While in the box at home plate, he swung and right in the middle of his swing he went down.

Thanks to a close view from the camera, I could see his right knee cap pop out and pop right back in place, which left him with a sprained knee and without a base hit.

The surgery and recovery on his left knee set him back the first month of the Major League Baseball season, which started the last day of March.

His debut ended up being May 1.

It seems as if the rookie is having a hard time jump starting his career.

Hopefully this won't set him back too far.

NO. 13 SUPERSTITION

The No. 13 seems to be unlucky with the two situations above. Should we all take caution with this superstition?
