CAMP HUMPHREYS -- Spc. Karl D. Gordwin Jr. and Staff Sgt. Monica Y. Willard, both assigned to the 4-58th Airfield Operations Battalion as air traffic controllers in the A-511 Tower, were recently honored by the Army Aviation Association of America for the outstanding work they do each day. Willard was named the 2013 Air Traffic Controller of the Year during the association?'s annual functional awards dinner, held at Fort Rucker, Ala., Feb. 5. Gordwin received the same award from the AAAA Morning Calm Chapter.
