RICHLAND, Ga., (Nov. 13, 2013) -- Soldiers assigned to 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team spent time with their community partner Nov. 8-9 at the 16th annual Pig Fest in Richland, Ga.

More than two dozen Soldiers from the brigade's 203rd Brigade Support Battalion volunteered to man entry points along with Stewart County JROTC cadets.

Those Soldiers, along others from the brigade, took part in the festivities, which included a car show, live music, carnival, children and family activities and plenty of street vendors.

Sledgehammer Brigade Commander Col. Charles Costanza and his wife, Megan, also served as honorary judges for the pulled pork barbecue cook off contest.

Richland Mayor Adolph McLendon expressed his deep appreciation for Soldiers and Family members who attended the weekend festival and said he looks forward to working with the Sledgehammer Brigade in the future.
