Media Advisory: ACC Change of Command and ECC Relinquishment of Command Ceremony

WHAT: Army Contracting Command Change of Command Ceremony and Expeditionary Contracting Command Relinquishment of Command Ceremony

WHEN: Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Army Materiel Command Headquarters parade field, Redstone Arsenal, Ala.

WHO: Brig. Gen. Ted Harrison, commanding general, Expeditionary Contracting Command, will relinquish command of ECC. Mr. Bryan Samson, ECC deputy to the commanding general, will become the acting director, ECC. Harrison will then assume command of ACC from Maj. Gen. Camille Nichols.

WHY: ACC ensures contracting support to the war fighter as mission requirements emerge and as the Army transforms and operates within the continental United States and throughout the globe. ACC provides responsive, innovative and efficient procurement solutions to enable the Army's global war fighting dominance.

HOW: Media representatives covering the ceremony will be escorted from Gate 10 (Patton Road). Please arrive at the gate by 1:00 p.m. If you plan to cover the ceremony, please RSVP by 2:00 p.m. on October 1. As a reminder, please enter the Arsenal via Patton Road Gate 10 and be prepared to present photo identification.
