Most activities will occur in the vicinity of Independence Park, the Main Gate, Augusta West Miniature Golf Course and the Bowling Center. There will be a combined effort of the U.S. and local Korean community to provide food and entertainment, various vendors and activities on the installation, which will include the 8th Army and local bands, Korean folk music, traditional Korean craft and food making, roving entertainers, inflatable games, children's field games, eating contests, martial arts demonstrations and Korean cultural dancers.
Korean citizens who do not normally have access to the garrison may access the post on foot only through either the Main Gate or the Pedestrian Gate, starting at noon. Valid identification in the form of the KID, passport or driver's license must be shown. The Main Gate will close to vehicle traffic at 11 a.m. and open for pedestrian traffic at noon.
