Fort Sam, San Antonio communities enjoy Texas Cavaliers River Parade

SAN ANTONIO " Lt. Gen. William Caldwell IV, along with the Fiesta 2013 military ambassadors, enjoys his "float" down the river April 22 during the annual Texas Cavaliers River Parade. The theme for this year's event was "Stars on the River." The parade is one of key events during Fiesta San Antonio and dates back to 1941. It runs along the River Walk in downtown San Antonio. Caldwell, the commanding general of U.S. Army North (Fifth Army) and senior commander of Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, serves as the military coordinator for the Fiesta San Antonio 2013 events.
