Maj. Gen. Keith L. Ware Public Affairs Competition

MG Keith L. Ware

I’m honored to announce the winners of the 2014 Maj. Gen. Keith L. Ware Public Affairs Competition. Please join me in congratulating each of our winning Soldiers and civilians. As in years past, the level of talent resident in our public affairs community is evident by the quality of the entries in this year’s streamlined competition. Your professionalism and dedication energize me, and your efforts do not go unnoticed by our senior-most Army leaders. Thank you all! Allow me to also thank the distinguished leaders, PA alumni, broadcasters, Defense Information School cadre, reporters and academicians who served as judges. Your expertise enhances the KLW program, further developing our PA heritage. I look forward to our public affairs professionals excelling in this year’s Thomas Jefferson Competition. Good luck! Army Strong!

We are pleased to announce this year's naming of the Civilian Broadcast Journalist of the Year Award after legendary military broadcaster Mr. Clark Taylor. A Vietnam veteran with a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Combat Infantryman Badge, Taylor revolutionized Army broadcasting, retiring from civil service as director of Soldiers Radio and Television in 2006, after a career which spanned 40 years of dedicated service to the United States Army. Taylor was inducted into the Public Affairs Hall of Fame in 2008. To learn more, visit the U.S. Army Public Affairs Hall of Fame.
