YONGSAN GARRISON, Republic of Korea -- A few moments of relaxation or exercise during the day in a serene setting encompassing thick trees and green space can not only rejuvenate your body but refresh your soul. It's even better when you can enjoy the opportunities at no cost.

Community members can now enjoy these benefits by walking and running with Families at a safer and low-traffic spot on-post as U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan unveils a newly constructed walking/running trail.

According to Michael Neaverth, chief of master planning for the Directorate of Public Works, USAG Yongsan completed over 2,000 feet for a brand new trail running along the perimeter fence behind Child Development Center to the Gate #13 (South Post Visitor's Center) with Family focused facilities such as the Yongsan Driving Range and Collier soccer field located in between.

"The trail will link these key facilities and exercise stations in a safe and pleasant manner encouraging walking for Family members as well as providing increased opportunities for exercise for Yongsan Servicemembers," Neaverth said.

Master Planner Kwon, Mun-hong also added the surrounding greenery and trees are great features to improve customer satisfaction and enjoyment.

Patrons can also exit the post near the Dog Park freely without having to circle around to the South Post Visitor's Center as the new exit-only turn-style is installed near the Dog Park.

The Family-friendly area will further get a boost when Yongsan unveils the brand new Community Activity Center under construction at Commiskey's in August.
