REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- Employees at the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command (USASMDC/ARSTRAT) spent Dec. 16 with their families and fellow employees for the annual Holiday Party festivities here at headquarters. In the morning, children and grandchildren of employees had the opportunity to have their faces painted, make food for Santa's reindeer, and get their photograph taken with Santa. USASMDC/ARSTRAT employees volunteered for various positions for all of the Holiday Party activities.

Along with all of the holiday activities, employees throughout the Von Braun Complex Building 5220 brought food to share with their fellow workers. Employees brought appetizers such as sausage balls and coconut shrimp, along with a variety of desserts and punch.

Later in the day, employees and visitors attended the Holiday Party Program. Among the events were tributes to the Soldiers overseas, especially those from the USASMDC/ARSTRAT family. The Command Choir sang several holiday tunes and conducted a Bell Choir performance as well.

During the Holiday Program, the winners of several decorating contests were announced. The winner of the judge's annual door decorating contest was the G-2. The G-2 also placed first in the employee door competition as voted on by the employees. Command Counsel placed second in both competitions.
