CAMP HUMPHREYS -- The U.S. Army Garrison Humphreys Public Affairs Office is again offering a Social Media Workshop, Dec. 3-4, in the Humphreys Community Fitness Center (Conference rooms A, B & C).

This two-day training opportunity focuses on the unique challenges faced by communicators in the realm of social media.

During the workshop, presenters will showcase what others in the fields of public affairs and marketing are doing to engage their key audiences and provide actionable takeaways to help participants leverage the latest in social media communications techniques and technologies.

"We are very happy to be able to offer this state-of-the-art training opportunity," said Edward N. Johnson, the Humphreys Garrison public affairs officer. "Social media will continue to shape and support the way we communicate and offering this workshop is a way to learn not only what others are doing, but how we can continue to evolve as communicators."

Attendance is open to all Department of Defense public affairs, marketing and communications professionals. Soldiers and civilians, who use social media as part of their official or community volunteer duties, are also encouraged to attend this free educational opportunity.

To register for the workshop, contact Steven Hoover at steve.hoover@us.army.mil or call DSN 754-6132. The registration deadline is Nov. 28.
