The 8th U.S. Army Band performed in a ceremony alongside the Korean Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine bands in a ceremony at the Korean War Memorial celebrating the 60th birthday of the Korean Armed Forces, at the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the Korean Military, Sept. 30.
"It was an honor to be in this event," said Sgt. Maj. Mark Eister, 8th U.S. Army Band sergeant major. "This was a great opportunity to play with some of the best and promote the alliance."
The band performed three times, the third alongside the four branches of the Korean services celebrating the service of the Korean military and all who have lost their lives defending Korea.
