HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD, Ga. - Army Pfc. Paul Ieti, a Petroleum Supply Specialist with Company A, 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, is an online celebrity known for his song covers on social media. His most successful cover "Stay" by Rihanna has over 500,000 views. As a result of his internet fame, Ieti was recently contacted by America's Got Talent to try out for its ninth season.

Ieti said he is most looking forward to sharing his God-given talent to those who have supported his music talents. He is no stranger to performing in front of crowds but said this is his chance to be heard by the world on a bigger stage.

"Ever since the first video went viral, I received stories about how [my videos] relate to their life and how it makes their day," said Ieti.

As a Pacific Islander American, Ieti is proud to represent Samoans-a group he says is not heard enough within the music industry. As an American Soldier, he said it feels good to perform for his Family, the unit, and others who support him.

"It's a good feeling and I'm excited to see where this goes," said Ieti.
