Army Corps of Engineers announces reopening of recreation areas

The Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that recreation areas closed during the government shutdown from October 1-16 are again open for recreation.

Areas closed due to flooding conditions, maintenance and construction and low lake levels will remain closed until further notice. Some parks were scheduled for seasonal closures during the shutdown period and will not reopen.
