What is it?
People are the U.S. Army’s greatest strength and most valuable asset. After 20 years of war, the Army shifts its attention back to People and addresses head-on the harmful behaviors that tear at the fabric of its force, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, suicide, discrimination, extremism.
What are the current and past efforts of the Army?
The Army People Strategy calls for “successful change” and the Army is changing policies and procedures to reinforce its focus on people.
What continued efforts does the Army have planned?
The Army will be redesigning the SHARP program as the next steps in restoring an Army-wide culture of dignity and respect.
The People First Task Force continues to refine a plan of action to address the SHARP program in order to achieve its mandate to eliminate sexual assaults and sexual harassment by creating a climate that respects the dignity of every member of the Army Family.
